So why another blog? Well to be frank, I’m tired of posting things on Facebook where the result always seems to be 1) an argument that goes no where 2) Zuckerberg owns everything I post and 3) I am generally misunderstood and find myself often unfriended. Apparently FB is a place where nice people don’t discuss religion or politics.
Well, here’s my take. Religion and politics are life. Not much else is worth talking about as nothing (let me repeat) NOTHING has the impact on our lives outside our own circle of family and friends. Governments create the environments in which we live and can sustain or destroy rights. Religion is the system of beliefs we all develop that helps us make everything make sense– Why am I here? Who am I really? Where am I going? These are terrible questions that, if left unanswered (or worse, unthought about) leave a human being little more than a bag of mostly water and bones…
If you are still reading, good. Here is what you will get here: As much truth and openness as I can share in the little time I have allotted daily to keep this site going.
Why choose this name? First, let’s examine the words individually:
- Breach. noun. The act or a result of breaking, break or rupture. An infraction or violation, as of a law, trust, faith, or promise. A gap made in a wall, fortification, line of soldiers, etc.; rift; fissure.
- Bulwark. noun. A wall of earth or other material built for defense; rampart. Any protection against external danger, injury, or annoyance. Any person or thing giving strong support or encouragement in time of need, danger, or doubt.
My desire here is not to post dire religious, political, natural disaster news in order to discourage those who come here. Sure, you’ll get some of that… But my true desire is to help provide hope and perspective to what is happening around us. Yes there are a lot of terrible things going on in the world. Bad things do happen to good people. But I am here to tell you that there is hope. There is light at the end of the tunnel (and it isn’t a train). I am here to tell you that there is more to life than just pressing on feebly hoping for something better– It is time now for us all to awake and arise! To realize who we are. To recognize, like our righteous forefathers, that we are endowed with certain inalienable rights from our creator. Life. Liberty. The Pursuit of Happiness. These no king had the right to take away in the 1700s and no court or legislative body today has power to stand between us and our God and tell us that the same inalienable rights are not ours today!
Any erosion of life, liberty or our pursuit of happiness is, simply put, tyranny and evil.
Come with me and stand in the Breach that evil men are attempting to widen in this world. We see them pouring out their tyrannical devices of control and surveillance, erosion of rights and liberties, and behind it all the brute force of weak-minded men with badges and gavels doing the bidding of their evil masters.
Enough! Awake and Arise! Stand with me in the breach fighting back this tyranny. If we all hold true then I know we can become what this world needs: A Bulwark in the Breach!
